High Waisted Denim Cutoffs Dip Dye DIY1. Boil water2. Add dye (used Rit dye) into a bucket then add hot water Its best if you use light washed shorts which absorb the dye better3. Dip the shorts for about 3-5 minutes and secure the side with a pin. If you want a lighter pastel color be sure to use less dye 4. All done! Now let dry for about 5 minutes and repeat steps for another color if wanted as shown in the picture After run them in cold water until water runs clear then wash and throw them in the dryer Be sure to throw the water with the dye somewhere outside like in old plants, dirt,or grass! Don’t drain it in your sink or it’ll dye your sink!!!! if you learned that the hard way like me then wash your sink and use bleach on it after so your mom doesn’t get mad lol

2. Fold in half making sure both sides are even
3. Cut with shears or scissors diagonally wherever desired
Be sure not to cut too much over the crotch thats a NO NO

i love recreating thrift store finds!
turned a pair of levi strauss high waisted jeans into a pair of high waisted denim cutoffs and personalized them with studs all over the left side.
p.s. these usually retail online for $60+ … pshh best $6 i’ve ever spent! DIY
